True North Home Watch is a professional home watch company which provides peace of mind to our customer. Home Watch is defined as a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues. We do this on an agreed upon schedule and work with our clients and customize inspections to their specific need while they are away. When emergencies arise let us handle them. When you return, it will be as you left it.

We know that each homeowner is unique and has specific needs. We provide our customer with a customized, detailed inspection and report based on your individual requirements, after each visit accompanied with photos.
Interior Inspections
- Storm assessment
- Perform a visual inspection room by room, checking for leaks, mold, moisture or water intrusion.
- Change furnace filters monthly
- Run faucets
- Inspect all drains and traps for leaks and blockages
- Change and check batteries in smoke detectors
- Start dishwasher
- Sump pump functioning properly
- Inspect all windows and doors (water damage leaks, and secure)
- Checking thermostats and HVAC system

Exterior Inspections
- Pool and jacuzzi monitoring
- Water feature monitoring
- Start and run vehicles
- Garbage removal
- Garbage can selection
- Mail package collection

- inspect external vents for blockages, (lint, dirt dust, beehives)
- Inspect for Ice dams
- Inspect outdoor lighting, monitor all lighting is in proper working order
- Inspect for general weather and storm damage
- Remove any signs which indicate home is vacant

Meet Mike Gottsacker
Mike grew up in eastern Wisconsin, the son of a Real Estate developer. Since his teens Mike worked on several of the crews building homes. During college at the University of Minnesota, he worked on crews as well, but also picked up handy man jobs including painting, remodeling, framing, sheet rocking etc. to help offset college expense
Mike grew up in eastern Wisconsin, the son of a Real Estate developer. Since his teens Mike worked on several of the crews building homes. During college at the University of Minnesota, he worked on crews as well, but also picked up handy man jobs including painting, remodeling, framing, sheet rocking etc. to help offset college expenses throughout the year. Mike knows how homes are constructed and understands how to assess the extent of damage and what is going on with the problem and will help resolve it.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Mike sold real estate for 20 years, eventually became a mortgage lender. Mike is still active in lending but also wanted to put his entire business experience and skill set to work, watching and caring for homes, and the people that own them.
Currently, Mike and his wife Libby live in Excelsior, MN and have been married for 34 years. They have Three kids and three Grandchildren who they love spending much of their free time with. When Mike is not working, he loves fishing, woodworking and spending time with friends, Mike is active in the Excelsior Lions club which raises and donates to charitable causes that follow the principals of the Lions Club "WE SERVE"
